The cabinets are very large and difficult to miss and you can interact with them to start a little key-slapping minigame. While you can slap the key wherever it goes, your objective is to smack it into the keyhole as it passes over. It's a reaction-based minigame so there's no real trick to it other than hitting the key at the right point, or watching its pattern to work out when it's going to fly over the hole.

Next, you can find the next Key, hovering in The Library Annex; all you need to do is follow it down the stairs into the Potions Classroom. Finally, you can find the fourth Key in the Central Hall as you descend the stairs and turn left. It will fly back up and make its way past the Unicorn fountain and down the stairs to the House Cabinet. After you fast-travel to the South Wing’s Faculty Tower Floo Flame, take a left and go through the door (Mr. Moon is typically here if you haven’t finished his quest). Once you go to the Library Annex’s Central Hall Floo Flame, go down the stairs and take a right at the magical creatures’ statue. From there, players should see the key near some paintings on the wall.

This is always near the cabinet that contains the House Token. You can follow the golden trail the key leaves behind to see the path to the cabinet. Interact with the cabinet and slap the key when it hovers over the lock. These are not marked on the map and that’s why they can be particularly tricky to find.
After you've completed the quest, the next key can be found in The Astronomy Wing near the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower Floo Flame. Take the large stairwell downstairs until you see get to the floor with the large rhino skeleton shown in the picture below. The key is fluttering around the skeleton and will take off up the stairs shown in the picture below. You'll need to time it just right to get the key in the slot.
That said, here's where to find every Hogwarts Legacy Daedalian Key, and what you'll get from the house chest as your reward. Fast travel to the Potions Classroom Floo Flames location and head through the door to class – there’s a key flying around right in front of the class entrance. Go down the spiral staircase next to it, and the locked cabinet is at the end of the corridor. From where the first Dungeons Daedalian Key was, keep heading down that corridor and take a left turn at the end.
Great Hall (Garden) - From the fast-travel point, go through the large doors to your right to reach the garden. It will zigzag all over the place, eventually heading to the cabinet at the back-left section. It's near the door that leads to the Sept area (i.e., red chamber with a star). Transfiguration Classroom (Dragon Statue) - This is the same chamber where you spotted the key mentioned above. You'll eventually see the cabinet, and the key is just below the landing. The 16 Daedalian Keys in Hogwarts Legacy are scattered all over the castle.

Finally, you must slap the object when it is around the center of the keyhole, which may take a few times. Faculty Tower (Staircase) - This requires the completion of The Caretaker's Lunar Lament, the main quest that rewards you with Alohomora. It's the only way you'll be able to unlock the Faculty Tower. From the fast travel point, enter the Faculty Tower and climb up the steps. The key is in front of a Symbol Door Puzzle, and it will fly to the cabinet below. You'll need to undertake "The Caretaker's Lunar Lament" quest to gain access to the Faculty Tower, since it gives you the ability to unlock doors with Alohomora.
